Welcome to Shoprite Nigeria

Widest Range. Lowest Prices.

Shoprite is the leading retailer across Africa and is the brand of choice for millions of customers across the African continent. Shoprite's large following of loyal customers can be attributed to our ability to offer the widest range of products and the highest standards of freshness and quality whilst maintaining the lowest prices.

Shoprite first entered Nigeria in December 2005, when we opened a store in the shopping centre, The Palms in Victoria Island, Lagos. Shoprite has since opened a store in Adeniran Ogunsanya Street, Surulere, Lagos and another store in Enugu. With over 2000 stores in 16 countries in total, we use our massive size as Africa's largest supermarket group to buy in enormous bulk and pass the huge discounts back to our shoppers. Customers can enjoy a world-class shopping experience with everything from delicious, freshly baked goods daily to the best quality, freshest fruit and veg. We adhere to the highest hygienic standards offering the finest cuts of meats and a wide variety of international and local brands at the lowest prices.

In our commitment to supporting local business and stimulating the economies in which we trade, Shoprite has built relationships with over 300 leading Nigerian suppliers, small businesses and farmers, securing a wide assortment of local brands, and exposing them to an increasing number of customers every day. We’re proud to support Nigerian business, doing our bit to boost the market and develop the state of local enterprise for all.

Giving back to the community

Community upliftment remains a priority to Shoprite and through our "change a life" campaign, Shoprite has been able to enrich the lives of many underprivileged children and youth within Nigeria. Since the inception of the “change a life” campaign in December 2010, Shoprite Nigeria has been able to assist various orphanages and foundations such as the Red Cross in Nigeria and the SOS Children’s Village.
